Neil Lennon fears "fantastic" Daniel Sturridge

Bolton boss Neil Lennon admits to being worried over the threat that fit-again Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge poses his team.

Neil Lennon has warned his Bolton Wanderers side to be prepared for fit-again Daniel Sturridge in tomorrow's FA Cup visit of Liverpool.

Sturridge warmed up for the fourth-round replay at the Reebok Stadium by scoring in Saturday's 2-0 win over West Ham United - his first appearance since August.

The 25-year-old striker enjoyed a six-month loan spell with the Trotters in 2011, and Lennon says that his return can only bring negatives from a Bolton perspective.

"He gives them another impetus," he told The Mirror. "He's a fantastic player. You ask any Bolton fan from his time here, he's very fondly remembered.

"He will have been chomping at the bit because the injury came at a really bad time for him. So to see him back and scoring is great news for Liverpool and not so great for us.

"He's got goals in him and he's been a big loss to Liverpool in terms of the volume he brings. As well as that, he's got dynamic pace, fantastic ball control and he's getting better. He's nowhere near his peak yet. They are certainly more of a threat with him in the team."

The former Manchester City and Chelsea forward bagged 21 Premier League goals for the Reds last season.

Crystal Palace await the winners of Wednesday's clash in the fifth round.
