Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge's injury 'not as bad as feared'

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is reportedly only expected to be sidelined for three games with a hamstring injury as opposed to the rest of the year.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is reportedly not expected to be out of action for as long as first feared.

Reports on Tuesday claimed that Sturridge could miss the rest of 2015 with a hamstring injury.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the England international will only be absent from Thursday night's Europa League match against FC Sion and Premier League games against West Bromwich Albion and Watford.

Sturridge has struggled with injuries this season as he underwent hip surgery in the summer, and has since had foot and knee problems.
