Jordan Henderson "confident" of getting results against Manchester City, Chelsea

Jordan Henderson says that Liverpool feel "confident" heading into their Premier League clashes against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is "confident" that he and his teammates can cause upsets against Manchester City and Chelsea in the coming weeks.

The Reds will face both Premier League contenders on away turf over the Christmas period after they take on Cardiff City at Anfield this weekend.

Despite tough contests ahead, the Merseyside outfit will head into the fixtures having taken all three points off Tottenham Hotspur in a 5-0 rout at White Hart Lane.

"We have got to go in with a lot of confidence," Henderson told the club's official website. "We've got Cardiff and I'm sure that will be a difficult game, because they have just beaten West Brom at the weekend.

"They will make it difficult for us but we need to make sure we're on it straight from the start again. Then there are a couple of difficult games after that but we'll go into them very confident."

Liverpool are second in the Premier League table, two points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
