Liverpool midfielder James Milner has insisted that new manager Jurgen Klopp will need time to make an impact at the club.
The German coach saw his charges record a goalless draw at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in his first game in charge.
Milner has warned the Liverpool supporters that the former Borussia Dortmund will not be able to deliver instant success.
"So much has gone on in these few days. It has been tough for the manager. It's been a whirlwind for him coming into English football and there is the expectation and pressure on him and the team," Milner told the Liverpool Echo.
"He is coming to try to get his ideas over and it will take time. He has said he can only feed us so much as he cannot change everything.
"It will take a few months to see exactly what he wants but it is a positive start, although there have been a few injuries, which is really disappointing. But you saw that in the team and on the bench, there is still a lot of quality."
Klopp succeeded Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.
