Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has brushed off suggestions that his team are genuine contenders for the Premier League title this season.
The Reds moved up to seventh in the table thanks to a 1-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday evening.
The Merseyside outfit are now level on points with arch rivals Manchester United, who have not been ruled out as challengers for the English crown.
When asked by Sky Sports News if Liverpool are also contenders, Klopp said: "No, I don't know. The thing is, we both have 30 points. I think in this moment Liverpool feel not too bad, but [at] Man United, the atmosphere is not the best, so you can see how football can be sometimes. We want at least 30 points, we got them - perfect."
Liverpool's next game is away to West Ham United on Saturday.
