Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt claims that the recent form shown by Craig Bellamy has been "unbelievable".

Dirk Kuyt has hailed Craig Bellamy's recent form for Liverpool as 'unbelievable'.

Bellamy's tally of seven goals in his last 13 games has been a key factor in his side's recent run of good results.

Kuyt claimed that Bellamy is a better player now then he was during his first spell at Anfield five seasons ago.

The Dutch forward said: "Craig has been unbelievable.

"He looks even better now than he did the first time he was here - it's not very often you can say that about someone who spends two spells at a club.

"Usually, the first time is better, but this time, with Craig in better shape, he knows exactly what he can do and he's really professional in training every day, not just helping himself, but the whole of the squad."

Liverpool face Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.
