Dirk Kuyt thinks that Liverpool's recent run of victories will help the Reds get "revenge" over Tottenham Hotspur tonight.

Dirk Kuyt believes that now is Liverpool's best time to face Tottenham Hotspur after a recent run of victories.

The two sides face each other for the first time since Spurs' 4-0 thrashing of the Merseyside club in September.

Despite a disappointing result earlier this season, the Reds are on a positive run after cup wins over both Manchester clubs and a convincing Premier League win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.

"We have the confidence, we are playing well so I don't think there is a better time for us to meet Spurs," Kuyt told the club's official website. "We are very happy and we want to keep moving forward like this and take our form into the next game.

"It should be a great game. We were disappointed to lose to them at Anfield in our final home game of last season, so we are looking for a little bit of revenge as well.

"We have to keep it going and with the confidence we have got we shouldn't be afraid of anyone. We are playing at home and with our supporters right behind us we can't wait for this game."

Liverpool will overtake Arsenal in sixth place with a win this evening.
