The Premier League will reportedly continue their investigation into claims that Liverpool illegally tapped up former Fulham forward Clint Dempsey during the summer window.

The Premier League have reportedly continued their investigation into claims made by Fulham that Liverpool tapped up the Cottagers' former forward Clint Dempsey.

The Merseyside outfit were known to be in pursuit of the USA international but Fulham alleged during the summer transfer window that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had approached the player illegally.

Despite Liverpool's failure to sign Dempsey, who eventually joined Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the window, Premier League officials will speak to both clubs regarding the pursuit of the forward, according to The Express.

Reports have claimed that the Premier League could formally charge Liverpool if they find foundation in the claims.
