Raheem Sterling has insisted that he is not a "money-grabbing 20-year-old" as his contract situation at Liverpool remains unresolved.
The England international has been in negotiations with the club over a new deal in recent months, with reports suggesting that he has turned down a six-figure salary offer from the Anfield side.
However, the winger told BBC Sport: "I don't want to be perceived as a money-grabbing 20-year-old. I just want to be seen as the kid that loves to play football."
Sterling, who is under contract until the end of the 2016-17 season, has scored 10 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool this campaign.
