Alberto Aqulani's agent Franco Zavaglia has revealed that the midfielder will return to Liverpool for next season.
The player's representative recently claimed that new Reds manager Brendan Rodgers had the final decision on the Italian, who recently spent a season-long loan at AC Milan.
"Almost certainly he will not terminate his contract with Liverpool," Zavaglia told Sportitalia. "He could join [Liverpool] at the beginning of July to start pre-season training with the English club. At this time there are no clubs interested in him."
Aquilani moved to Anfield from Roma in 2009 but has since failed to make an impact at the Merseyside club following a lack of first-team football and a number of injuries.
