Jurgen Klopp has reportedly identified Martin Caceres as the best candidate to ease Liverpool's defensive problems.
The Reds have suffered numerous injuries to their centre-backs this term, with the likes of Mamadou Sakho, Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel all sidelined on different occasions.
As a result, Klopp has instructed the Anfield board to move for Juventus defender Caceres, according to CalcioMercato.
The report adds that the Uruguayan will become a free agent at the end of the season, but Liverpool's German boss is eager to negotiate a deal now.
The 28-year-old joined the Old Lady from Sevilla in 2012.
