Liverpool and Southampton have reportedly both made it known that they are keen on signing young Inter Milan defender Zinho Vanheusden.
The 18-year-old has not yet made an appearance for the Italian club's first team, but he has impressed in the development ranks.
According to Nieuws Blad, the Premier League pair have made contact with Inter, but both have been knocked back as the Serie A club are earmarking Vanheusden as one for the future.
The defender, who moved to San Siro in 2015, will come to the end of his current contract in two years' time.
Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk expects to join Liverpool this summer, despite the Merseyside outfit publicly withdrawing their interest.
