Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch about a potential summer transfer.
The Reds are expected to overhaul their midfield ahead of the 2023-24 season, with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to depart on free transfers when their respective contracts expire in June.
James Milner is also out of contract in the summer, and he will follow Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain through the exit door if he fails to sign a new deal.
Liverpool were widely expected to make a bid for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham after previously making the England international their priority target.
However, the Reds have decided against launching a move for Bellingham due to concerns about spending a significant amount of their budget on one player.

With Jurgen Klopp's side looking to sign at least two midfielders, they have now started to turn their attention to other options.
Liverpool are one of a number of clubs that are keeping tabs on Gravenberch, and they appear to have stepped up their pursuit of the Netherlands international.
According to The Sun, Liverpool have begun discussions with Gravenberch about a possible move in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old only joined Bayern from Ajax last summer, but he has struggled to establish himself in Bavaria, having started just one of his 17 Bundesliga appearances this season.
Thomas Tuchel, who recently replaced Julian Nagelsmann as Bayern boss, has indicated that he wants to give every player a fair chance, including Gravenberch.

However, with Konrad Laimer expected to join the German champions from RB Leipzig this summer, Gravenberch could find playing time harder to come by.
Liverpool are expected to face competition for Gravenberch's signature, with Arsenal and Manchester United showing an interest.
The Reds are also considering a number of other midfield targets, including Mason Mount, Conor Gallagher, Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister and Joao Palhinha.
Liverpool occupy eighth place in the Premier League table, and they are currently preparing for Monday's Premier League meeting with Leeds United.
