Liverpool are planning to open talks with defender Martin Skrtel over a new contract, according to reports.
The centre-back has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season, and has been a regular starter at Anfield since manager Brendan Rodgers arrived three years ago.
The Slovakian's current deal runs out in 2016 but Rodgers is keen to get the 30-year-old tied down for even longer over the coming weeks, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Skrtel has made over 270 appearances for Liverpool since arriving from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008.
