Liverpool are reportedly close to securing the future of striker Daniel Sturridge on a new five-year contract.
It was widely expected that the England international would be rewarded with fresh terms following an impressive run last season which helped the club finish second in the Premier League.
According to the Liverpool Echo, both parties are reaching the final stages of negotiations over a deal worth £100,000 per week, which will run until 2019.
Sturridge has missed the Reds' last six games due to a thigh problem and is expected to be left out of England's squad to face San Marino and Estonia in their Euro 2016 qualifiers next week.
