Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum will reportedly hold showdown talks with manager Jurgen Klopp over his future when he returns from international duty.
Wijnaldum has now entered the final 12 months of his contract at Anfield, and there has so far been no progress in talks over an extension.
The 29-year-old is thought to be happy to stay at Liverpool, while Klopp is also happy to keep him as part of his plans going forward, but the club are reportedly considering cashing in on the Netherlands international in order to pursue a deal for Thiago Alcantara.
Barcelona are understood to be interested in signing Wijnaldum after new manager Ronald Koeman identified him as a key part of his rebuilding plans at Camp Nou.
The Daily Mail claims that Wijnaldum will now hold face-to-face talks with Klopp to devise a plan for his future once he is back at the club after representing the Netherlands.
The midfielder featured in all but one of Liverpool's Premier League matches last season as the Reds ended a 30-year wait to be crowned champions of England.
