Barcelona confirm that Sergio Busquets has penned a new long-term deal at Camp Nou which includes a buyout clause of £445m.

Sergio Busquets has officially put pen to paper on a new contract with Barcelona that will keep him at the club until 2023.

The Spanish midfielder has extended his existing deal by a further two years, while at the same time increasing his buyout clause from £178m to £445m.

Academy product Busquets is the latest player to commit his future to Barcelona, following on from fresh terms being agreed with Lionel Messi, Sergi Roberto, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Samuel Umtiti.

The latest contract for one-club man Busquets could keep him at Camp Nou until he retires, as he will be aged 35 when it expires.

Manchester City were recently linked with the 109-cap Spain international, who has racked up 450 appearances in a Barcelona shirt.
