Real Madrid have been knocked back by Stuttgart in their pursuit of French full-back Benjamin Pavard, according to a report.
The World Cup-winning defender is also rumoured to be on Manchester City's radar after bursting onto the scene this summer, while Arsenal and Barcelona have themselves been linked.
German publication Sport Bild suggests that Madrid have already made a move for Pavard, but Stuttgart are unwilling to do business with the European champions at this stage.
Los Blancos are said to have enquired about a price for the 22-year-old, whom they are keen to add to their squad in the January transfer window.
The report also indicates that Bayern Munich are chasing Pavard's signature, but they are happy to wait until next summer before tabling an offer.
