Hearts have reportedly had their offer to take Manchester City defender Ashley Smith-Brown on loan accepted by the Premier League club.
The 21-year-old left-back has just returned from a year at NAC Breda, where he played 29 games as the Dutch club clinched promotion to the Eredivisie.
According to the Edinburgh Evening News, Man City are happy for the player to spend the 2017-18 season at Tynecastle and develop in a challenging and physical league.
The report also claims that there are just a few details to be finalised, which means Smith-Brown should join up with Ian Cathro's squad in time for their pre-season trip to Ireland next month.
Smith-Brown has been part of Man City's youth academy since the age of five and captained their Under-18 side, as well as representing England at every youth level up to Under-20.
