Manchester City's Abdisalam Ibrahim has revealed that he wants to leave the club in the transfer window.
The midfielder, 22, has been with City since 2007, but has failed to force his way into the first team, spending time away on loan.
Ibrahim feels that there is little chance of him getting a spot in Manuel Pellegrini's side and wants to go somewhere where he can "build" a career.
"When I joined City, they were investing in young players and did not have much money," he told TV2.
"I feel sorry for the young players who join City now because they will never get to play. If the club let me leave, I will do that. It is not a matter of money, I need to find a place where I am happy.
"I want to go somewhere I can stay for a long time and build up my career."
Last month, Swansea City were linked with a move for the player.
