Manchester City and Kosovo goalkeeper Aro Muric is reportedly edging closer to a loan switch to Championship side Nottingham Forest following the 20-year-old's return to England after his summer break.
Former Juventus youth team player Muric has been linked with Forest throughout the close season as Sabri Lamouchi's side look to improve on their mid-table finish in the second tier last season.
The youngster is yet to make his Premier League debut for the Citizens, although he started for the first time in an EFL Cup third-round tie against Oxford United last season.
Muric joined City's youth team from Swiss side Grasshoppers in 2015 before signing a three-year contract at the Etihad Stadium in 2017.
The Nottingham Post reports that the loan deal for Muric will be completed imminently following the stopper's return from holiday, and that Muric is expected at the City Ground to complete the move "in the near future".
The Telegraph adds that Forest had seen off competition from "a number of clubs" in the UK and abroad to secure Muric's signature on a season-long switch.
Muric made his senior debut during a loan spell with De Graafschap in August 2018, keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 win on his only appearance for the Dutch side.
