Manchester United to face Bristol City in EFL Cup quarters

Manchester United are drawn away to Bristol City in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup, while Arsenal are to host West Ham United in one of three all-Premier League ties.

EFL Cup holders Manchester United have been drawn away to Championship side Bristol City in the quarter-finals of the competition.

The Red Devils, who beat Southampton 3-2 in last season's final to lift the trophy, will head to Ashton Gate next month to face the only lower-league side left in the competition.

Bristol City have already overcome three top-flight clubs to make it to this stage, most recently thrashing Crystal Palace 4-1 in the West Country on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere, Arsenal will play host to West Ham United in another London derby showdown, while top-flight leaders Manchester City - taken all the way to penalties by Wolverhampton Wanderers in round four - head to Leicester City.

Five-time winners Chelsea are to face Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge, meanwhile, in the third of the all-Premier League ties.

The draw was yet again shrouded in controversy as it was delayed by nearly two hours due to "technical difficulties".
