Sunderland defender Wes Brown has revealed that he is looking forward to returning to former club Manchester United this weekend.

The 32-year-old won 15 medals during a 15-year spell at Old Trafford before his summer move to the Stadium of Light.

"United always bounce back from adversity - that's one quality they have always had," Brown told Sunderland's official website.

"It'll be good. I'm really looking forward to going back to Old Trafford.

"Obviously I had only ever previously been at Manchester United so it will be special to go back. I will enjoy the day but I'm going back there to try and win as a Sunderland player and hopefully we can do that."

The Black Cats are currently 14th in the Premier League table, while United are second.
