Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole has praised the impact that Anthony Martial has made since he arrived at the club from Monaco in early September.
The Red Devils were criticised in some quarters for spending £36m on the relatively unproven 19-year-old, but he has since gone on to score four goals in seven outings.
Despite having known little about the former Monaco centre-forward prior to his signing, Cole has admitted that he has liked what he has seen so far.
"I do like him. I've got to be honest, I didn't know a lot about him before he came to United. I watched him play against Arsenal [for Monaco] last season but the way he has come in, he's made a great impression," Cole told the club's official website.
"He's got good feet and great pace. In the modern game, it's important to have great pace and he's got that in abundance. He looks a great player and has got off to a great start. It looks like he's got the right temperament as well.
"He uses his body very well. He only looks like a slight chap but he gets hold of the ball, he's got good feet and he is prepared to run at people and take them on."
Martial is expected to be in the United starting lineup for Saturday's trip to Everton.
