Chelsea captain John Terry has praised his side for picking up a "great point" at Old Trafford this evening.
Chelsea held Manchester United to their first goalless draw in 118 matches as both sides struggled to create clear chances in a tight affair.
Terry believes that the reason behind the lack of goals stemmed from both sides' fears of losing a match so early in the season but is happy to have got one of the toughest tests of the campaign out of the way.
"Neither of us had too many chances to win the game. I think both teams looked solid and it's obviously a great point for us away from home," Terry told Sky Sports News after the match.
"It's a tough place to come. It's out of the way and we move on now. I think both midfields and attacks cancelled each other out a bit and neither team wanted to lose the game so early on in the season."
Chelsea have now picked up seven points from their opening three games of the Premier League season, a tally that puts them top of the table.
