Queens Park Rangers coach Joe Jordan has insisted that Fabio da Silva should have "learned" from his loan spell with the R's last season.
The Manchester United full-back spent the entire campaign at Loftus Road and made 23 appearances as Harry Redknapp's team suffered relegation to the Championship.
"I think we all learned from last season as it was a very, very difficult campaign. Whether it was someone in the latter part of his career or someone like Fabio just starting out," Jordan told United's official website.
"He will have learned a lot from last year. Hopefully, he can use it to better himself for the future that he has in the game.
"You see different aspects of life in football and you have got to store that away and use it because it was a hard season last year for everybody. It wasn't easy and it's not always you learn from campaigns where you're successful but when things haven't gone well and there's been disappointment."
Fabio, 23, has made a total of 53 appearances for United in all competitions.
