Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has claimed that his team would score more goals if they had Barcelona's Luis Suarez or Manchester City's Sergio Aguero in their ranks.
More criticism has been aimed at the Dutch manager following Man United's 0-0 draw against West Ham United on Saturday.
However, Van Gaal has said that it is his side's wastefulness in the final third that is costing them the chance to win matches, rather than the style of football that the 64-year-old wants to play.
"The question is would Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero score if they were here?" he told BBC Radio Manchester. "That is a question mark. You never know. I think they would, though. We've created enough chances to score, so that was not the problem."
Man United currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, three points behind the league leaders Leicester City.
