Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic believes that the Red Devils are more than capable of pipping Manchester City to the Premier League title.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side are on course to claiming their 20th league trophy but the club's lead has dropped from four points to one following Man City's 2-1 victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium last night.
"We have had the belief from the beginning and if you look at the schedule of games we have left to play, I would like to say we are the favourites," said Vidic. "We still have to win the nine games and need to be focused.
"We believed from the beginning and have the confidence but we have nine 'Champions League final' games now, I would say.
"It's all in our hands now. We have to focus and give our best. The whole team, all the players, are ready to perform, which is a good sign and a positive thing for the nine games."
The 30-year-old has not played for the English champions since suffering a knee ligament injury in December, but the former Serbia international has confirmed that he should resume training in July.
