Saturday's Premier League predictions including Nottingham Forest vs. Man United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Nottingham Forest vs. Manchester United.

Luton vs. Chelsea (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Kenilworth Road is the location for Saturday's lunchtime Premier League kickoff, as Luton Town and Chelsea take to the turf for the final time in 2023.

Rob Edwards's men marched to an engrossing 3-2 win over Sheffield United on Boxing Day, just over 24 hours before the Blues left it late to defeat Crystal Palace 2-1.

We say: Luton Town 1-2 Chelsea

Not one team has travelled to Luton Town's turf in the 2023-24 Premier League season and blown Edwards's team to smithereens, and even the most optimistic Chelsea fan should not expect their inconsistent troupe to do so on Saturday, especially when their horrendous away record is taken into account.

The Hatters will also benefit from an extra day's rest and should make one of their forward forays count, but a fresh-legged Sterling and Palmer can create chaos for the Luton backline, which may not be able to prevent Pochettino's side from ending their hoodoo on their travels.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Burnley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Having fallen slightly off the pace in the Premier League title race, Aston Villa seek to revert to old ways when Burnley head to Villa Park for Saturday's clash of the clarets.

Unai Emery's men let a two-goal lead slip in a captivating 3-2 loss to Manchester United in midweek, while Vincent Kompany's men were seen off 2-0 by Liverpool on Boxing Day.

We say: Aston Villa 3-0 Burnley

Not since 2010 have Villa managed to put Burnley to the sword at Villa Park, but with a few recent mistakes to rectify, Emery's Lions outfit should be backed to end that Clarets hoodoo on Saturday afternoon.

The last time the hosts did the double over the Clarets in the top flight, they obliterated their upcoming visitors 10-0 on home turf in the 1925-26 season. Such an emphatic margin of victory is surely off the cards here, but a rejigged XI should still make light work of Kompany's men.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Crystal Palace vs. Brentford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Having both been condemned to painful midweek Premier League defeats, underperforming London rivals Crystal Palace and Brentford can end 2023 on a positive note when they clash at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Roy Hodgson's men were undone by an 89th-minute penalty in a 2-1 loss to Chelsea on Wednesday, while the plight of the Bees continued in a horrendous 4-1 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

We say: Crystal Palace 1-1 Brentford

No other fixture in Premier League history has seen the first five showdowns end level, and yet another stalemate is not beyond the realm of possibility for two sides who have a penchant for sharing the points with each other.

Neither set of players are high on morale right now, and even though Palace can be considered marginal favourites given Brentford's losing streak and injury crisis, the Bees should stop the rot in its tracks thanks to the hosts' offensive troubles at Selhurst Park.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Man City vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Reigning English, European and world champions Manchester City will endeavour to end a memorable 2023 on a high when they welcome Sheffield United to the Etihad Stadium for a Premier League clash on Saturday.

The two teams meet for the first time since the end of August when an 88th-minute strike from Rodri sealed a 2-1 victory for the Citizens at Bramall Lane.

We say: Manchester City 3-0 Sheffield United

Man City will unsurprisingly be regarded as firm favourites to claim maximum points on Saturday, even without star striker Haaland against a Sheffield United outfit who have struggled all season to keep the ball out of the back of their own net.

The Blades intend to frustrate the hosts as they have done in previous seasons, but the Citizens should ultimately find a way to breach their backline and cruise to a comfortable victory this time around.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Wolves vs. Everton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Hoping to conclude the calendar year with a third consecutive Premier League victory, Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Everton to Molineux on Saturday for their final fixture of 2023.

Gary O'Neil's men ran riot in a 4-1 battering of Brentford on Wednesday evening, while the Toffees failed to hang onto a slender advantage against Manchester City, losing 3-1 to the current holders.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Everton

Unless James Tarkowski or Jarrad Branthwaite replicate Collins's horror show from Wednesday night, Wolves can forget about another four-goal haul, especially with a question mark now hovering over Hwang's head.

O'Neil's side still possess plenty of different goal threats from all areas of the field, though, and with few visiting sides stamping their authority on the Molineux turf this term, we have faith in the hosts to prolong their winning sequence while extending Everton's losing run.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Nott'm Forest vs. Man Utd (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Two Premier League teams seeking to build on Boxing Day triumphs square off at the City Ground on Saturday as Nottingham Forest play host to Manchester United.

Both clubs came from behind to claim maximum points last time out, with the Tricky Trees beating Newcastle United 3-1 away from home and the Red Devils defeating Aston Villa 3-2 at Old Trafford.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Manchester United

Both sides can enter Saturday's contest with optimism following their midweek victories, but Man United's exceptional record against Forest is sure to give them the psychological advantage heading to the City Ground.

Nuno's side cannot be written off on home soil, though, especially against a somewhat unpredictable Red Devils outfit, but we believe that Ten Hag's men will ultimately get the job done in a closely-fought encounter and end 2023 on a high.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
