Manchester United will be aiming to equal an away winning club record when they travel to Liverpool on Sunday.

Manchester United will be aiming to equal an away winning club record when they travel to Anfield to face the Premier League champions Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have been in strong form during the 2020-21 campaign, picking up 36 points from their 17 matches to sit top of the table, three points clear of third-placed Liverpool.

United's away form this season has been impressive, winning seven and drawing one of their eight matches on their travels to collect 22 points, which is the joint-best record in the division.

On Sunday at Anfield, the Red Devils will be looking to win more than seven of their opening nine away matches of a league season for just the second time in their history, matching the 1993-94 campaign.

Solskjaer's team have beaten Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United, Everton, Southampton, West Ham United, Sheffield United and Burnley on their travels this term, only dropping points against second-placed Leicester City.

United's last league victory at Anfield was a 1-0 success in January 2016, when Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the contest in the 78th minute.
