Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester United could line up for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to make changes to his Manchester United side for their trip to Aston Villa on Sunday, with the Red Devils facing a hectic schedule of three league games in the space of five days.

Man United have no fresh injury concerns after their Europa League exploits in midweek, reaching the final despite a semi-final second leg defeat to Roma in Italy, but Solskjaer will need to manage his squad carefully in their second outing of a four-game week.

Given the relentless nature of their upcoming fixture list, with a match against Leicester City on Tuesday and then the rearranged showdown with Liverpool two days after that, Solskjaer may opt to earmark two of those games in which the majority of his big hitters could play.

Rotation in Rome, coupled with the layout of the schedule, suggests that Solskjaer may be best picking his stronger team in this game and then for Thursday's clash with Liverpool, with the greater level of rotation perhaps being saved for the Leicester match.

Victory on Sunday would also effectively secure a top-four finish for Man United this season, so the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani and Paul Pogba - all of whom started in midweek but were withdrawn before the end, could start again here.

The United boss clearly had one eye on this upcoming run in Rome anyway, with Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka both being taken off at half time, hinting that they will be involved from the start this weekend, particularly after the shaky displays of their replacements Alex Telles and Brandon Williams.

Marcus Rashford, Victor Lindelof and Scott McTominay were rested from the start in midweek too and so should come back into the starting XI for this one.

Dean Henderson is also expected to feature in goal after sitting out on Thursday, although David de Gea's inspired display in the Italian capital provided a timely reminder of the now-backup goalkeeper's quality.

Anthony Martial remains sidelined for the visitors, although he is now back jogging on the grass and could return from his knee injury before the end of the season.

Daniel James and Phil Jones are Man United's only other injury absentees for this game.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Fred, McTominay; Rashford, Fernandes, Pogba; Cavani
