Spanish champions Barcelona are reportedly prepared to test David Moyes's recent claims regarding the future of Wayne Rooney.
The new Manchester United manager insisted on Friday that the striker was not for sale even though a host of reports have linked him with a move away from Old Trafford.
Despite Moyes's insistence, Barca are keen to sign the England international and are prepared to pay around £25m for his services, according to Catalan newspaper Sport.
The report also added that the Spanish champions would be willing to make David Villa, who is thought to be surplus to requirements at Camp Nou, part of the deal.
Rooney has also been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, but it is believed that if United were to sell him, they would prefer that he joined a foreign club.
