Barcelona want teenage attacker Ansu Fati to sign a new deal at the club until 2026, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly keen to tie Ansu Fati to the club until the summer of 2026.

The 18-year-old is currently on the sidelines with a long-term knee issue but made an impressive start to the 2020-21 season, scoring five times and contributing four assists in 10 appearances at club level.

The attacker's existing deal at Camp Nou is due to run until June 2022, but a recent report claimed that the Catalan giants are 'on track' to extend the teenager's contract.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca want the Spain international to sign a deal until the end of the 2025-26 season and are prepared to offer him a lucrative package.

Fati, who was strongly linked with Manchester United over the summer, has scored 13 times and provided five assists in 43 first-team appearances for Ronald Koeman's side.

The youngster is believed to have a £367m release clause in his current agreement.
