Rio Ferdinand reportedly receives seven multi-million pound contract offers from around the world, but would prefer to stay at Manchester United.

Rio Ferdinand has reportedly had contract offers from seven clubs from around the world who want to sign him this summer.

Ferdinand's current deal at Manchester United runs out at the end of the season, although manager Sir Alex Ferguson has suggested that he wants the 34-year-old to stay another year.

Ferguson has since announced his retirement and there is no indication what in-coming United boss David Moyes's plans are.

According to The Sun, Moyes will speak to Ferdinand in the summer, but in the meantime there are seven big-money offers from around the world.

There are two from the Middle East and two from Russia, as well as offers from Galatasaray, AS Monaco and Flamengo in Brazil.

It is thought that while Ferdinand can earn more money by accepting one of the offers, his preferred scenario would be to remain at Old Trafford.
