Fulham have reportedly been in touch with Manchester United to discuss the possibility of signing Scott McTominay before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Cottagers could lose key midfielder Joao Palhinha ahead of Friday's deadline, with the Portugal international currently being heavily linked with a switch to Bayern Munich.
According to Sky Sports News, McTominay is viewed by Marco Silva's side as a potential replacement, and the capital outfit have made 'initial contact' with Man United to discuss a deal.
The report claims that Fulham are expecting Palhinha to move to Allianz Arena, so they are putting plans in place to move for a new midfielder before Friday's 11pm deadline.

McTominay's future has been the subject of speculation throughout the summer, with Newcastle United believed to have been interested at the start of the window.
West Ham United are also thought to have had a £30m offer rejected for the Scotland international before ultimately deciding to move for James Ward-Prowse.
Man United are said to be planning to keep hold of McTominay and only a 'substantial bid' would see them consider letting him leave in the final stages of the market.
The 26-year-old has featured in two of his side's three Premier League matches this season, appearing off the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest.
McTominay is no longer considered to be a starter, though, with Casemiro, Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Man United have allowed Fred to move on this summer, while Donny van de Beek is expected to depart before the end of the window.
A deal for Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat is believed to be heading in the right direction, while Kobbie Mainoo - currently out through injury - and Hannibal Mejbri are also options for head coach Erik ten Hag.
A late departure for McTominay therefore cannot be ruled out, but it was suggested earlier this summer that the club valued him in the region of £40m.
The Scot came through the youth system at Old Trafford, and he has represented the club on 211 occasions in all competitions, scoring 19 goals and registering five assists in the process.
