Manchester United are reportedly on the brink of signing Ajax youngster Dillon Hoogewerf.
The 16-year-old has emerged as one of the top European prospects in his age bracket, but it appears that the teenager has taken the opportunity to leave the Dutch giants.
The Mirror claims that the striker is close to signing for Man United, and Ajax's youth chief Said Ouaali has confirmed that the player is going to join "a foreign club".
Ouaali told Ajax TV: "Dillon has indicated last week that he will leave the club. He is leaving for a foreign club. We wish him a lot of success and know that we have done everything to keep him.
"He may ultimately make the choice and choose a foreign adventure."
Hoogewerf has contributed 10 goals and six assists for Ajax's Under-17s this season.
