Manchester United reportedly have no interest in completing a January deal for River Plate winger Julian Alvarez.
As a result of his performances in Argentina's top flight, the 21-year-old has been linked with a wide array of clubs in Europe.
United are among the teams said to be keen on the versatile attacker, with his agent having allegedly travelled to Manchester in recent days.
However, according to Manchester Evening News, the Premier League giants will not be attempting to sign Alvarez during the current transfer window.
With the player having a £17m release clause in a contract which has 12 months left to run, a move elsewhere remains realistic over the coming weeks.
Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all said to be admirers of Alvarez.
