Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani announces his "dream" to play in the Premier League amid links with a summer transfer to Manchester United.

Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani has revealed that he 'dreams' of playing in the Premier League amid rumoured interest from Manchester United.

The former Nantes man has made a name for himself since swapping Ligue 1 for the Bundesliga last summer, registering 23 goals and 14 assists in 46 matches for Die Adler during his debut season.

Kolo Muani found the back of the net 15 times in the 2022-23 German top flight, and only Borussia Dortmund's Raphael Guerreiro (12) set up more goals than the 24-year-old.

Despite possessing a contract with Frankfurt until 2027, Kolo Muani is already being tipped to move on to a Champions League-competing club, with Man United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all linked with a summer swoop.

Die Adler are expected to demand at least £100m to sell Kolo Muani this summer, though, and the France international has previously played down talk of a summer exit, claiming that he is happy in the Bundesliga.

However, in a separate interview with Canal Football Club, Kolo Muani confessed that he would fulfil a childhood dream by playing in the top flight of English football one day, handing Man United a significant boost in their efforts to bring him to Old Trafford.

When questioned on the possibility of a move back to France with Paris Saint-Germain, the striker responded: "It's not just because you come from the Parisian region and grow up there that you should automatically play for PSG.

"Honestly, who doesn't dream of playing in the Premier League? It's one of the best leagues that exists. You dream about it. These are childhood dreams.

"But I'm not searching for the perfect club or the best club in the world. I'm really looking for the club that will give me the chance to be able to express myself, to earn game time and most importantly allow me to grow."

Man United have been short of central attacking options since Cristiano Ronaldo's bitter exit last year, initially leaving Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to hold the fort up front.

The Red Devils failed to land a new permanent number nine in January, only bringing in Wout Weghorst on a season-long loan from Burnley after his temporary spell with Besiktas was cut short.

The towering Dutchman has found it difficult to adapt to the demands of the Premier League, though, scoring just two goals in 31 games for Man United, who are unlikely to opt for a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, Martial has produced a respectable nine goals in 29 games this season, but the 27-year-old has struggled with numerous injuries and could also be offloaded permanently in the coming weeks, although there are fears that his fitness issues could scupper a sale.

As well as Kolo Muani, Man United retain hope of a big-money deal for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, but Real Madrid have supposedly now made the England captain their number one target to replace Karim Benzema.

Atalanta BC's Rasmus Hojlund and Benfica's Goncalo Ramos are also understood to be on Man United's striker shortlist, and Erik ten Hag has apparently held a series of video calls with the former.
