Manchester United and Real Madrid have reportedly entered into advanced negotiations regarding the transfer of David de Gea with just over eight hours left before the transfer window closes for Spanish clubs.
The United goalkeeper has been linked with a switch to the Bernabeu for much of the summer, but it is believed that despite the interest, the two clubs had not met to discuss a fee.
However, with De Gea seemingly eager for the move to be completed, Madrid have now made an approach, according to the Daily Mail.
The report adds that Los Blancos are hopeful that the deal will be concluded in their favour before the 11pm deadline passes.
Meanwhile, speculation in Spain has claimed that United have informed Madrid that they will only sanction the sale of De Gea if they were to receive keeper Keylor Navas in return.
