Manchester United have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.
The England international has long been on the radar of the North-West giants, who are keen to add another centre-back to their ranks before the start of next season.
United have been battling neighbours Manchester City for Maguire's signature at a time when the Foxes are said to be demanding in excess of £80m for the 26-year-old.
However, The Mirror claims that United will not pursue a deal for the player due to Leicester now wanting a fee of £100m, which would include add-ons.
Their decision seemingly leaves City free to try to agree terms with the East Midlands side, despite a suggestion that they do not want to pay over £65m.
Maguire still has over four years left on his contract, leaving Leicester in a strong position regarding his future at the King Power Stadium.
