Manchester United have reportedly offered Thiago Alcantara a contract worth £6.2m per year.
The Red Devils are currently in talks with Barcelona over a transfer for the 22-year-old midfielder and will hand Thiago a contract of £120,000 a week, according to Goal.com.
United are confident of wrapping up a £15.4m deal for the Spaniard after the player and his father, Brazil legend Mazinho, met with Barca last week to discuss his future.
It is believed that the Spanish champions want Thiago to remain at Camp Nou next season but the player prefers a move to Old Trafford due to lack of guaranteed playing time with Tito Vilanova's side.
Thiago captained the Spain Under-21 team to victory at the European Championship in Israel this summer and scored a hat-trick in the final as they brushed aside Italy 4-2.
