Manchester United manager David Moyes has brushed off claims by Ronald de Boer that striker Robin van Persie will leave the club if they fail to invest in new players.
Former Netherlands international De Boer was quoted as saying that Van Persie is unhappy with "the football United are playing", and claimed that he would move on if Moyes did not bring in "new, young, great players".
However, Moyes has refused to agree with those sentiments.
"I couldn't reply to that and I wouldn't know how Ronald de Boer would know that," Moyes told reporters.
Reports have suggested that Chelsea could be interested in the forward.
