Paris Saint-Germain could reportedly reignite their interest in Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford during this summer's transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly not ruled out making a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford before the summer transfer window closes for business.

The French giants are facing the difficult task of replacing Kylian Mbappe this summer, with the France captain deciding to leave the Paris outfit on a free transfer in order to join Real Madrid.

PSG are said to be long-term admirers of Rashford, with the club thought to have made an attempt to sign him in the summer of 2022, but at the time, incoming Man United head coach Erik ten Hag made it clear that the Englishman was a vital part of his plans.

Rashford starred under Ten Hag during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 30 goals and registering 10 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions.

The forward's form led to him signing a new long-term contract at Old Trafford, but he struggled to make his mark last season, only managing eight goals and five assists in 43 appearances.

PSG 'considering launching Rashford move'

A recent report claimed that Man United were willing to listen to offers for Rashford this summer, as his sale could allow them to make a box-office signing of their own.

Any transfer of the Red Devils academy product would also be viewed as pure profit under the Premier League's rules surrounding profit and sustainability.

As well as on-the-field issues last season, Rashford caused controversy towards the start of the year when he visited a nightclub in Dublin on two separate evenings and then called in sick for training before his team's FA Cup fixture with Newport County.

According to talkSPORT, PSG are now considering making a move for the forward, who was left out of England's squad for this summer's European Championship due to his struggles in 2023-24.

The report claims that Luis Enrique's side could accelerate their interest in Rashford if the player signals that he is open to making the move to the French giants.

Will Rashford leave Man United?

It is such a difficult one for Man United, as Rashford can be one of the most devastating forwards in world football when at his best, but he really struggled last season.

A change of scenery could be best for the forward this summer, as he needs to reignite his career after a disappointing 2023-24 campaign.

Much will depend on the money involved, as Man United are unlikely to turn down a sizeable bid for Rashford, but it remains to be seen whether PSG put the type of money on the table that the Red Devils would want.

At this moment, it is still difficult to imagine Rashford leaving Old Trafford, but if Man United can identify a suitable replacement, the player is keen to leave, and PSG come up with the money, then a move to Enrique's side could fall into place relatively quickly.

Rashford has scored 131 goals and registered 66 assists in 402 appearances for the Red Devils since making his first-team debut in 2015.
