Report: Barcelona consider Matteo Darmian

A report claims that Barcelona could move for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian in the January transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a January swoop for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.

Darmian joined Man United from Torino in the summer of 2015 and made 39 appearances during his first season in England.

The right-back has struggled for minutes under Jose Mourinho this term, however, with Antonio Valencia and Timothy Fosu-Mensah both ahead of him in the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Inter Milan have been strongly linked with a move for the Italian international, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are considering a bid as they prepare to replace Aleix Vidal, who is expected to depart at the start of 2017.

Juventus have also previously been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old.
