Report: Louis van Gaal has £200m kitty

A report claims that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will be given a further £200m to spend on new players in 2016.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will reportedly be given another £200m to spend on new players in 2016.

The Dutchman's position at the helm has been called into question in recent weeks, despite the fact that Man United are only three points off the top of the Premier League table.

It is understood that Van Gaal will remain at Old Trafford until 2017, when his contract expires, and according to The Sun, the experienced manager will be handed significant funds to improve his squad in both January and next summer.

It is believed that Van Gaal wants to sign a new left-back in January, while a striker has also been made a priority due to the team's scoring troubles this season.

Man United return to league action with a trip to Bournemouth next weekend.
