Manchester United have been given hope in their bid to land Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias, according to a report.
The Red Devils are rumoured to have switched focus to the 22-year-old as a cheaper alternative to Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly.
Dias fits with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's vision of signing young players for the future, and he is believed to have been watched up close a number of times by the Premier League club last season.
Benfica had been hoping to up the defender's release clause to £89m, but Portuguese outlet A Bola claims that they have so far failed to do so and United may now pounce.
However, a move for the Portugal international would still supposedly set Solskjaer's men back more than £50m.
