Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood has reportedly identified Manchester United's Alexander Buttner as a January transfer target.
The full-back is believed to have been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by United boss David Moyes.
That has alerted Sherwood, who is keen to sign the 24-year-old on a loan basis initially, according to The Mirror.
The report added that should Buttner impress at White Hart Lane, then Spurs would look to make the deal a permanent one.
Fulham, as well as Roma and Genoa, are also said to be monitoring the situation.
