Nottingham Forest defender Matthew Bondswell has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for Manchester United.
Manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to strengthen his first-team squad in the full-back positions, but it appears that United are also placing focus on their academy setup.
According to the Daily Mail, United are keen to take advantage of the contract situation involving Forest and Bondswell, with the 16-year-old yet to pen professional terms at the City Ground.
The Championship side have offered the teenager a deal but there have been no indications that it will be signed, leaving United in a position where they could make an approach for the left-back.
Southampton are also said to be interested but as it stands, United are considered to be the favourites to push through a transfer.
