Marseille interim coach Jose Anigo has heaped praise upon his players after they ended a five-match winless run with a 3-1 victory over basement side Ajaccio on Friday night.
Andre Ayew struck a hat-trick in the victory, but Anigo paid tribute to his whole squad who he felt responded well to their poor patch of form.
"I came to the press conference to highlight the work of my players, their professionalism, and to make you understand that, come what may, we will fight till the end, alone or with the fans," he told Ligue1.com.
"We did our work in a difficult context. I just want to savour the win, because we hadn't won for a while. You can blame the players as much as you want, but tonight I thought they did their work honestly and professionally.
"I have a challenge in the six remaining games: take the team as far as possible. You can say what you like, but we have 48 points and we haven't been cut adrift. We're still there, we're still alive, still moving, towards and against everyone."
Marseille are currently sixth in Ligue 1.
