New Marseille signing Florian Thauvin has revealed his joy after joining the club on Monday.
The 20-year-old winger secured a long-awaited switch to the Stade Velodrome from Ligue 1 rivals Lille for an undisclosed fee.
Thauvin insists that he will work hard to achieve his goals after securing a move to Les Phoceens.
"I'm really very happy," Thauvin told reporters. "This is my favourite club. Everyone knows what this club represents. The city lives and breathes football. The team always finishes high up the table and is in the Champions League.
"It's a huge step forward. There is lots of hard work to do, and a lot to prove. It's a personal challenge; I have set myself a lot of objectives and I hope to achieve them here."
Thauvin joined Lille in January before being loaned back to former club Bastia for the remainder of the season.
